Installation Instructions

Genuine GE XWF Refrigerator Filters 

1. Locate the Filter: The filter is typically located in the back upper right corner of the refrigerator compartment, or in the base grille.
2. Turn Off Water Supply: Turn off the water supply to the refrigerator before installing the filter.
3. Remove Old Filter: Remove the old filter by turning it counterclockwise. Discard the old filter and keep the cap for later use.
4. Prepare New Filter: Wet the O-ring on the new filter with water to ensure a proper seal.
5. Install New Filter: Insert the new filter into the cap and turn it clockwise until it clicks into place.
6. Turn on Water Supply: Turn on the water supply to the refrigerator and let the water run for several minutes to flush out any air and impurities from the filter.
7. Reset Filter Indicator: If your refrigerator has a filter change indicator, reset it according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
